Inclusion, Equality & Diversity

Inclusion, Equality & Diversity

Let's talk about Inclusion & Diversity

Our equality and diversity course has been designed to bring to life the Equality Act of 2010 a potentially very dry subject matter.
Equality and Diversity are key topics in any modern organisation. Learners will leave understanding the impact their behaviour can have on others and a clearer awareness of the Equality Act and how to ensure this is respected within the work environment. Both employers and employees have legal obligations under this legislation - getting it wrong can lead to serious consequences for both employee and employer.

Who is it for?

Inclusion, Equality and diversity can bring many challenges, so to successfully promote workplace inclusion we have designed this course for Managers to help them to understand the role they should play regarding Inclusion, Equality and Diversity and how to link these to the business values and manage behaviours in the workplace.

Why Come on the Course?

As a Manager, do you require a better understanding of the law regarding Inclusion, Equality and Diversity? Are you looking for a truly positive culture at work that is really linked to your Brand Values, where all individuals are respected?

Do you want to know what your individual and Managerial responsibilities are regarding Equality and Diversity? Do you want to ensure your team is full of people who genuinely value each other? Do you want to know the steps you can take to manage discrimination at work? Do you want to understand some of the ‘unconscious bias’ you may have and how this might influence your decision making process.

If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, then this course is definitely for you.

What is it?

A highly interactive, educational, lively and fun course using two professional actors and our expert Inclusion, Equality and Diversity trainer. We bring the Equality Act 2010 to life and clearly explain the legislation in a very fun and practical way. We cover the 9 Protected Characteristics and the 4 types of discrimination. We look at what Inclusion is and how we as Managers can ensure we create a positive environment. We also explore how we link all of this to your business values so it doesn’t feel like it’s a tick box exercise, but actually an acceptable way of life within a modern workplace.

What will I do on the day?

An interactive session, which is a blend of live actor scenarios, discussions, practical activities, legislation explanations, recent relevant case studies and a EdRespect© Board Game. After the course you will have a greater understanding of what the Equality Act 2010 means to you as an individual and Manager in the workplace
