Justin Smith-Essex
Group Managing Director

Justin is the Managing Director & one of the co-founders of ted Learning. He is a very experienced trainer, facilitator and qualified teacher, having completed his PGCE Teaching Degree at the University of Greenwich.
He specialises in designing and delivering training in customer service, equality and diversity, management fundamentals, team building & presentation skills.

Justin is the key client contact across our portfolio. He works with our clients to ensure the programmes we deliver are tailored to their specific needs and are fun, engaging, memorable and deliver long-term benefits to the business.
He is fascinated by and passionate about people and delivering a training experience that is entirely focused on the learner. Justin works with all of our clients to follow up after every training session to explore the feedback and how the learning can be sustained. Learning & Development is constantly evolving and the most important challenge for Justin and the team at ted Learning is that we always rise to this and support our varied client base with their individual training needs.
Justin was instrumental in the design and delivery of several of our courses including Inclusion & Diversity, Presentation Skills & Customer Service and works closely with all of the trainers to ensure every session we deliver is completely learner focused.

What our clients say about us

Our training is observational and participative, using teams of actors to bring it to life. We recognise that taking part in role-play is not for everyone, so we offer observational training – this is where two of our acting team demonstrate scenes related to the course and delegates observe and comment on the behaviors. Where a business is more confident working with actors, we take this to the next level with participative training so delegates get to practice their newly learnt skills.
