Sarah H Gordon
ted Learning Trainer

Sarah (known to her friends as “H”) is an experienced trainer with particular expertise in recruitment, retention, equality and inclusion, and talent management. As an Oxford law graduate, Chartered Member of the CIPD and Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals, Sarah is well equipped to deal with topics from employment law to managing people, from presentation skills to writing tenders, from sales to business strategy.
Sarah says, “Training should not only be instructive and transformational, but fun. The training room should be a safe place to explore new ideas and create positive outcomes. Working with such a diverse range of people and clients over the years has shown me that you can always learn something new, and some of the best ideas are born from group discussions. Training is often about helping people find the answers rather than ‘telling’ them what the answers should be. That’s what really excites me.”
Sarah is particularly happy to be working with ted Learning because it allows her to mix her passion for training and developing people with her other passion – drama. Outside the training room, you can often find her on stage in dramas and musicals (or in the director’s chair) for her local amateur dramatics group. She has seen first-hand how drama can transform the way people think and behave, and believes it’s one of the most effective training techniques out there.
When not in the training room or on stage, Sarah can often be found going for long walks in the beautiful green spaces around her home town of Croydon (yes, Croydon! it’s more green and pleasant than you may think) in an attempt to pacify her Fitbit and get a bit healthier.
