The Client | Coinstar

The Coinstar story began back in 1989 when Stanford University student Jens Molbak was sitting in his dorm room staring at the jar of coins on his desk.

Coinstar® machines are now present in nearly 20,000 convenient locations worldwide, including supermarkets up and down the UK. As well as converting coins into cash, customers can now also make donations directly to charity and enjoy exclusive promotions and offers.

Coinstar is part of Outerwall which has more than 20 years of experience creating some of the most profitable spaces for their retail partners. Outerwall delivers breakthrough kiosk experiences that delight consumers and generate revenue for retailers.

Coinstar - ted Learning client

The Brief

ted Learning is delighted to welcome Coinstar to its client list and will initially be delivering Personal Effectiveness and Time Management training here.

Their General Manager recognised a need to get all of the office team working more effectively together and felt some investment in personal development was required. We spent time getting to know and understand the business in advance of the training so we could design a very bespoke product for the management team. We used an actor to help give managers the chance to practice some of the newly learnt skills.

Satisfaction Ratings | Coinstar

Feedback from our delegates and clients is what drives our business. We actively seek out what went well and areas where we could improve to make the experience even better next time around.

WHY ted Learning?

Our training is observational and participative, using teams of actors to bring it to life. We recognise that taking part in role-play is not for everyone, so we offer observational training – this is where two of our acting team demonstrate scenes related to the course and delegates observe and comment on the behaviors. Where a business is more confident working with actors, we take this to the next level with participative training so delegates get to practice their newly learnt skills.
