Speedo - ted Learning client

The Brief

Speedo is famous for its swimwear and has a very engaged, passionate team that are reflective of its brand and values. Health & Safety sadly didn’t sit very high on their agenda, and our brief was to deliver a session that supported some of the key messages the H&S team had struggled to embed into the culture.

We met with the H&S, toured the building and learnt some of the common accidents, mishaps and near misses that took place. Our brief, make it engaging, memorable, impactful and importantly funny! This was music to ted Learning’s ears!

We devised a session where ted Learning actor Jerry Lindop entered the room as a health & safety expert and delivered the standard H&S briefing but with LOTS of humour. It focused on some of the known attitudes in the room and looked to dispel that H&S wasn’t an issue or important.

When then delivered several scenes using our actors, interjected with our trainer getting views and engaging staff to make commitments to create a safer working environment.

WHY ted Learning?

Our training is observational and participative, using teams of actors to bring it to life. We recognise that taking part in role-play is not for everyone, so we offer observational training – this is where two of our acting team demonstrate scenes related to the course and delegates observe and comment on the behaviors. Where a business is more confident working with actors, we take this to the next level with participative training so delegates get to practice their newly learnt skills.
