What is it?
A highly interactive, educational, lively and fun programme using professional actors and a team of expert trainers in each of the subject matters.
We bring ilm learning to life by ensuring each workshop is practical and fun with immediate skills that can be taken back to the workplace.
We create a blended approach to the assessment so that some of the workshops have practical elements to the assignments - for example, recruitment would have a practical element aswell as a written element so we can physically see how the new skills would be utilised.
The level 4 ilm programme is delivered at certificate and diploma level and takes from 12-18/24 months to complete.
What will I do on the programme?
Each classroom-based workshop will be different, and will be delivered by one of our expert trainers, some workshops will be theatre-based learning, using actors to bring the skills and behaviours to life. Every workshop is interactive and practical, exploring different tools, techniques and skills in an engaging and memorable way which you can take away and apply directly to your leadership role.

This course is delivered using observational and participative theatre based learning.
By attending a programme of workshops, we build on the skills covered in the previous workshop and ensure the assignments relate to the learning.
We embed the learning through practical sessions in each workshop where we have to practice the skills. We have discussion time and use expert trainers in each subject matter.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Demonstrate consolidated and enhanced management skills relevant to their own role
- Develop knowledge of specialist business areas to support working at a more organisational level.
- Identify and improve the capabilities and personal awareness needed to be a leader.

0.1 What is Theatre based learning?
Theatre Based Learning is the technique we use to bring learning to life by using our actors to perform scenarios, based on real case studies.
Theatre Based Learning can be either observational (where learners watch scenes and discuss) OR participative (where we use techniques like real-play and practice, forum where learners interact with the actors and direct them or hot-seating where learners give feedback to individual characters and make suggestions).

Discussing and learning in the traditional ‘class-room’ is effective, but long-term memory is better stimulated by having an experience. Our approach using experiential and drama based methods delivers this and leads to more sustained learning.

We recognise that taking part in role-play is not for everyone, so we offer observational training – this is where two of our acting team demonstrate scenes related to the course and delegates observe and comment on the behaviors. Where a business is more confident working with actors, we take this to the next level with participative training so delegates get to practice their newly learnt skills.
