why come on the course?
Do you want to confidently engage in conversations with colleagues you suspect may be suffering from mental health problems?
Do you want to develop the appropriate supportive skills and behaviours?
Do you want to create a mentally healthy workplace?
If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, then this course is definitely for you.
What is it?
A theatre-based workshop in which we meet a number of team members experiencing a variety of mental health problems, including those experiencing high levels of stress due to the pressures of their role.
The workshop is designed to be fun, engaging and at times challenging, reflecting some of the real-life scenarios that we experience in the workplace.
What will I do on the day?
Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with the characters to develop an understanding of the underlying challenges that may trigger mental health concerns.
They will also work with the characters to encourage them to access support, even in the face of resistance or reluctance.
embedding the learning.
Using a theatre-based learning approach to this course, we believe it helps really embed the experience of understanding mental well-being and your role as a Leader in supporting.
Because we experience first hand by observing a set of scenarios, we feel empathy and understanding with the characters and this helps drive a deeper sense of learning.
We can also support this with our blended and fully online course that can be used to top and tail our classroom based experience.
