Welcome to ted Learning’s November newsletter, and yes, we’re feeling especially focused on inclusion this month (for all the right reasons).
With UK Disability History Month beginning on 14 November, we’re shining a spotlight on disability in the workplace and the everyday experiences of colleagues whose realities may look very different from our own.
We’re also very excited to be putting the final touches to our brand new digital Disability Awareness course – presented by people with lived experience of disability and long-term health conditions, and grounded in real workplace moments. And because we like to do things a little differently, we’re offering our community the chance to be among the first to try it for free, with a thank-you discount on any course your organisation purchases.
Read on to find out how to access your free taster, discover how experiential, drama-based learning can make behaviour change stick, and see how our clients like First Bus are using our approach to create workplaces where everyone belongs.
With UK Disability History Month starting on 14th November, our focus this month is on building a deeper understanding and awareness of disability in the workplace and helping teams better appreciate the lived experiences of colleagues whose day-to-day realities may be very different from their own.
We are excited to share that our brand-new digital Disability Awareness course is nearly ready to launch!
Presented by individuals with a range of disabilities, including those living with long-term health conditions, this course explores real-world workplace situations and offers practical ways to create more accessible and inclusive environments for all.
Be among the first to try our new Disability Awareness course by registering your details below.
You’ll receive a complimentary taster experience, and we’d greatly appreciate your feedback before the full launch.
As a thank you, you’ll also receive a 10% discount of the Disability Awareness course that your organisation purchases.
As the year winds down (where did 2025 go!) and the winter nights draw in (it took us almost an hour to change all the clocks in ted HQ!), it’s a good time to reflect on what really makes learning stick.
At ted Learning, we know that real change doesn’t come from simply watching or listening; it comes from experience.
Our experiential, drama-based learning approach gives people the chance to:
It’s learning that engages both the head and the heart, because that’s what drives meaningful behaviour change.
We use real-world simulations that recreate authentic workplace moments, such as conversations, meetings, interviews, or customer interactions, so learners can experience the impact of language, behaviour, and emotion in real time.
These actor-led simulations mirror real workplace dynamics, allowing people to test their responses, receive feedback, and make adjustments in the moment.
When learning feels real, people don’t just remember it, they live it.
We also provide flexible, blended and bite-sized learning options to meet the needs of colleagues wherever they work, whether at a desk, on the road, or in the field
This month, we highlight two important topics for UK workplaces:
Many organisations talk about inclusion but bringing it to life takes practice, not just policy.
We partner with organisations that want to:
This isn’t about “ticking boxes” it’s about ensuring fair access to growth and success.
Explore our range of equality, diversity and inclusion programmes available in-person, virtually, or digitally.
How do you onboard new colleagues so they feel valued and connected from day one?
That was the challenge First Bus brought to us when they were seeking a fresh approach to induction.
We were delighted to design a completely new induction programme for them, blending our drama-based method with filmed workplace scenarios across depots, offices and on the road, bringing their values to life in meaningful, human ways.
Since launch, nearly 1,500 new colleagues have completed the induction, and 96% rated their first-day experience as excellent or good.
We also recently delivered a Train-the-Trainer programme for First Bus colleagues, enabling them to deliver the content with confidence and impact going forward.
If you’re considering refreshing your onboarding experience, we’d love to help.

Inclusion is most effective when it moves beyond policy and into daily practice.
If you’re looking to improve disability awareness, enhance onboarding experiences, or embed behavioural change through experiential learning, our team is here to help.
Until next time,
Justin & the ted Learning team
