Fife College identified a challenge with how female students were being treated by male students – including some very challenging behaviours between classes. They wanted to raise awareness of this in a way that resonated with all students and got them to reflect on their behaviour and the impact. They wanted student involvement in the delivery of the course, being part of the films. Fife College wanted to create a safer space for females, including female staff who had also experienced misogynistic behaviour. They wanted something high impact, bite-size and with drama and discovered ted Learning!
ted Learning collaborated with Fife College, engaging with students and staff to gain a deep understanding of their unique challenges. From these insights, we developed scripted drama scenes and digital content, ensuring the training was both engaging and impactful for students.
Our goal was to create a high-quality, interactive learning experience that could be delivered independently of ted Learning providing long-term value for the college. To enhance authenticity, we filmed on location, featuring students in acting roles alongside professional ted actors, while others contributed behind the scenes to filming and production.
The final product consisted of modular training content, helping students recognise the impact of their behaviour on others. By combining real-world scenarios with drama-based learning, this initiative delivered a relatable, immersive experience, fostering greater awareness, empathy, and personal development.
I’d recommend working with ted Learning. It’s a collaborative approach and an extremely smooth process.
