Ironbridge Museum wanted to invest in their entire team as part of a training day with the subjects being around Inclusion & Diversity and how to have a brave conversation. This was to be delivered face to face and given the size of the team, we needed to deliver the training simultaneously in two different rooms, using our actors to go between two different rooms for the drama scenes.
ted Learning partnered with Ironbridge Museum to design a bespoke diversity and inclusion session using our drama-based approach. The goal was to help employees explore what EDI meant to them in a way that was engaging, interactive, and reflective of their unique workplace environment.
To enhance the experience, we carefully planned the logistics to utilise our actors and facilitators across two different rooms, creating variety, engagement, and a representation of diverse perspectives.
The morning session focused on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), while the afternoon shifted to Brave Conversations. Attendees had the opportunity to vote on discussion topics, and our actors responded in real-time, allowing participants to forum different approaches and see best practices in action.
This interactive format ensured that learners gained practical skills in both EDI awareness and confident communication, making a lasting impact on workplace culture.
Really clear and well thought through training. It felt like the trainers were well experienced and had all the answers to talk us through things. They made a possibly awkward training humorous and fun.
