As part of their commitment to staff development and wellbeing, Magna Learning Partnership invited ted Learning to deliver two engaging masterclasses at their annual conference. Magna Learning Partnership, a respected multi-academy trust overseeing several schools, academies and colleges, sought to provide meaningful, thought-provoking sessions for their teaching and support staff. They specifically wanted to address two crucial areas: mental wellbeing in education and how to navigate brave conversations in the workplace.
Both sessions were delivered in a lecture-style format, tailored to large audiences but retaining the personal impact for which ted Learning is known. What made these sessions different—and what resonated so strongly with Magna Learning Partnership’s ethos—was our use of live, drama-based scenarios. These real-world re-enactments didn’t just inform; they enabled participants to feel the emotional complexity of each topic, encouraging empathy, reflection, and a deeper understanding of how their behaviours affect others.
By blending expert facilitation with scripted performances, we created a space where staff could explore sensitive issues in a safe and powerful way. The result? Practical insights, long-lasting learning, and overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants across the trust.
