Maldon District Council was recommended to ted Learning by Chelmsford City Council, following the successful rollout of our EDI training there. They had a need and this was initially during the covid period so all of the training needed to be delivered virtually but with the same impact using drama. Following on from this, Maldon identified a number of other opportunities for ted to support them – this included colleagues having a better understanding of each other, brave conversation training, and menopause awareness via a webinar.
We are proud to have partnered with Maldon District Councill since 2020, delivering engaging and interactive training that challenges traditional learning methods.
For their Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training, we used a blended approach combining filmed scenes, live drama, and hot-seating exercises. Many participants had never experienced drama-based learning before and were surprised by how engaging it was—especially for a topic they initially expected to be dull.
Following this success, we introduced our P.O.P. (Personality & Communication Preferences) programme, helping managers understand different personality types to improve communication and leadership skills.
We are now supporting Maldon District Council further by providing access to our ted Learning Hub, offering a comprehensive range of digital courses to enhance ongoing professional development.
The session was brilliant. Really thought provoking and made me think about my Approach to different people in the team
