WHAT CHALLENGE DID Office FACE?
OFFICE is a well known footwear retailer and was looking for a more structured process for onboarding new employees. They recognised each store was doing it differently and there was no consistency. Also, how did the support new staff by sharing some of the knowledge and best practice across the business. This needed to be delivered digitally and appeal to their target audience by being easy to consume. We also needed to be realistic and were asked – make this like TikTok!

How ted Learning Created a Bespoke Digital Training Programme for OFFICE
ted Learning partnered with the client to develop a fully customised training programme, filmed over three days in their flagship Battersea store. Working closely with store managers, retail operations, and HR, we ensured that the scripts and scenarios accurately reflected the realities and expectations of working at OFFICE .
The programme was structured into multiple modules, covering key areas such as first-day onboarding, shop floor operations, stockroom procedures, till point transactions, refunds, and handling difficult customer interactions. Using a blended approach, we cast both OFFICE employees and professional actors to bring the training to life, ensuring authenticity and engagement.
Hosted on the ted Learning Hub, this training has been used by all new starters since July 2023, providing a consistent, interactive, and engaging learning experience that helps employees quickly adapt to the OFFICE retail environment.
