WHAT CHALLENGE DID Ramsay Healthcare FACE?
Ramsay Healthcare was looking for a new partner to support their annual leadership training around the subject of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. This needed to be a half day to fit in with other topics and they wanted their hospital management teams to be engaged by something different, that didn’t feel dry given the subject and that brought their challenges to life. They also had a very specific issue in one of their hospitals where unconscious bias affected the experience of a patient and wanted this to be tackled by using a drama based approach.

ted Learning Enhances EDI Training for Ramsay Healthcare with Bespoke, Bite-Sized Workshops
ted Learning partnered with Ramsay Healthcare to enhance their Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training, starting with an in-depth patient experience analysis and DNA visit to identify key improvement areas. Through discussions with hospital management and employees, we tailored our EDI course into three bite-sized, face-to-face sessions, ensuring accessibility for all teams without disrupting hospital operations.
Following the success of the initial rollout, we were invited to provide annual leadership training, adapting our content to a medical setting. This included refining our scripts and introducing an additional actor-led race scenario, highlighting challenges such as patient prejudice.
For over four years, ted Learning has continued to deliver specialist EDI training for Ramsay Healthcare, strengthening our long-term partnership and supporting their commitment to an inclusive workplace.
