The Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration (SCRA) engaged ted Learning as part of successful tender process to deliver an element of our EDI suite, focused on being an active bystander. This was to build on training already delivered within the organisation as they move to be an even more inclusive place to work.
HOW DID WE HELP?
Empowering Change: How ted Learning Designed Bespoke Active Bystander Training for SCRA
ted Learning developed a brand-new Active Bystander Training programme, expanding on our expertise in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) for Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration. The challenge was to transform a core EDI topic into a standalone, impactful three-hour workshop. We worked closely with the client to understand existing workplace dynamics, identify where behaviours were going unchallenged, and explore their impact on individuals.
Our solution was a fully tailored Active Bystander course, featuring in-depth content on microaggressions and bespoke drama-based scenarios, bringing real workplace challenges to life. The training is delivered both in-person across Scotland and virtually, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for all participants.
WHAT DID THE CLIENT SAY?
Actors were absolutely great and convincing. The trainer was great too – really knowledgeable and encouraging and explained all really well. It was really useful to have the exercises with the actors at the end – as uncomfortable as it might have been, it was probably the most useful part.
