The University for the Creative Arts (UCA), initially contacted ted Learning as they wanted some support with Presentation Skills to improve skills and confidence for non-academic colleagues when they were presenting internally. They also had other learning and development needs for the year and were intrigued to discover how a drama based approach might support these.
ted Learning first partnered with the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) to deliver our Advanced Presentation Skills course —and its success led to UCA commissioning us as a major partner for their Learning & Development programme.
Our collaboration expanded to include Brave Conversations, Coaching, Managing Performance, Managing Hybrid Teams, and Being Actively Anti-Racist training. The anti-racism programme was a fully bespoke experience, developed in collaboration with UCA student actors, who played a vital role in bringing real-life scenarios to life.
We designed custom scripts and immersive roleplay exercises to highlight the lived experiences of both students and staff, particularly for Black History Month. The result was a powerful, thought-provoking workshop that deepened awareness, encouraged meaningful conversations, and fostered a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.
This unique partnership has strengthened UCA’s commitment to equity, inclusion, and professional development, creating a lasting impact across the university.
