What does she do?

Katherine Mount has been an integral part of ted Learning since its inception. Originally joining as one of our lead actors, she transitioned into training three years ago and is now a specialist in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) – the cornerstone of our best-selling training offer. Katherine also leads our flagship Presentation Skills programmes, working with a wide range of clients, from first-time presenters to seasoned senior executives.

How long have you been working in Learning & Development?

28 years!

And what do you love most about it?

I love the challenge of engaging learners, understanding their needs and base skill level and the satisfaction of adding value, seeing the pennies drop and knowing that they will be positively adapting their behaviour moving forwards.

What are your specialist topics?

These seem to keep growing! Presentation Skills is my original home, but an interest in law leading to my current MA has seen Equality (Equity) and Inclusion become a speciality and I particularly enjoy the debate that topic ignites.
Along with all communication and influencing subjects, many management related, like Difficult Conversations, Giving Feedback, Performance Management and Influencing Skills.

Katherine Mount was excellent, so engaging and used all of the advice she gave us about presenting in her own presentation. Simon was very funny and this was an element of training I haven’t experienced elsewhere – would definitely recommend Ted Learning. The session was perhaps slightly too long but I did feel engaged throughout.
