Maria Gough is a British actress known for her performances in Boy A (2007), Silent Witness (1996), Goodnight Sweetheart (1993), and most recently, Coronation Street (2024). Other credits include roles in Wizadora, The Bill, Goodnight Sweetheart, 99-1, Emmerdale, Silent Witness, Doctors, Boy Meets Girl and Hollyoaks. On stage, she appeared in productions of June Moon, Fool for Love, The Late Edwina Black, Love Me Slender, Sailor, Beware!, The Wizard of Oz and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. With a career spanning television, film, stage, and corporate training, Maria Gough is a versatile performer with an extensive body of work.

Having the license to be somebody totally different, the camaraderie of creating something together.

What acting work are you most proud of?

The life and times of Fanny Hill a stage adaptation by April de Angeli’s, for Red Shift theatre company. Great cast and writing. I got to create the character of Swallow.
