Tiran Aakel is a London-born and bred actor with over 30 years of experience across stage, television, corporate training, and radio. Known for his versatility with accents and dialects, Tiran Aakel is frequently cast in Israeli, Middle Eastern, and Asian roles.
Tiran Aakel has appeared in the West End transfer of Stephen Daldry’s The Jungle at the Playhouse Theatre, following its acclaimed run at the Young Vic. His dynamic stage performances include Burkas and Bacon Butties (Vault Festival), where he took on a charismatic lead role; The Girl on the Train (Salisbury Playhouse), playing a conflicted psychotherapist; and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel UK No.1 tour, as the ambitious Mr Gupta. In 2024, he reprised two contrasting roles in the UK No.1 tour of The Kite Runner.
On screen, Tiran Aakel has guest-starred in EastEnders and Casualty, and delivered a standout transformative performance in a dramatic reconstruction for Panorama.
