CBRE wanted to launch a suite of training to their people managers, under their Management Essentials programme. They wanted the workshops to be half day, highly impactful and different. CBRE wanted managers to be able to self select so it didn’t need to be a programme feel but that if people attended more than one if felt joined up and not repetitive. The plan was to have a soft launch and then roll this out to the wider UK business, with potential for international.
ted was approached because of a prior working relationship with the L&D Lead and asked to put forward a proposal to support subjects around better conversations, coaching, interview skills, giving feedback, recruitment and presentation skills.
ted Learning planned to launch a few of the workshops using our drama based approach as this was very different for CBRE. We met key stakeholders to understand the desired outcomes and to get examples of the current reality so that we could structure the drama to be realistic and relatable. We initially launched with Interview Skills and Having Better Conversations to see how these landed.
The feedback was exceptional and led to the full rollout of the programme of courses and we are now into year two of this relationship. We have also tailored the content and delivered it to international parts of their business, along with supporting an engineers event in a conference setting to support with client interactions. We are now working across multiple business units to bring a bit of drama to their learning!
