Hertsmere Borough Council identified the need to deliver Equality Diversity and Inclusion training in the organisation in a different way to their traditional reliance on digital learning. They were recommended to contact ted Learning by other local authorities and wanted to understand the drama approach – did this mean role-play (NO!) and could we support with some new digital learning and could this be delivered in different languages!
ted Learning was delighted to partner with Hertsmere Borough Council to deliver Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training tailored to their organisation’s unique challenges.
Across four interactive workshops held in the council chamber, we used a blend of live drama and video content, ensuring an engaging and impactful learning experience. Our customised scripts reflected Hertsmere’s specific workplace dynamics, making the training highly relevant to their teams.
Additionally, we were tasked with bringing the new Worker Protection Act to life, as it was about to become law. To support this, we produced a new video on sexual harassment, creating a realistic, thought-provoking learning experience that reinforced key legal and behavioural expectations.
Probably the best equalities training I’ve been on in 20 years of working. Actors made the subject matter very understandable, and the presenter handled challenging questions very well.
